The Benefits Of Prioritizing The Word

In the world that we live in today, it is pretty easy to have one’s priorities misplaced. Everywhere you turn, there are distractions. And it’s apparent that the things that have gotten the attention and approval of the majority aren’t the things the word encourages. Someone even called it an “upside down generation” and rightly so!

However, for those who will walk with the Lord and stand out, we must have a different focus point. Our goals, aspirations, and motivations must be of a higher plane than that of the carnal world for to be thus minded is enmity against God!

In case you are still wondering what this higher ideal should be, worry no more. The word of God is crystal clear about this as revealed in Jer 9:24

“But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” Jer 9:24

This is one of the most profound statements in the entire bible and I hope you see it as it really is. When you study it in the right context, you will discover what God was saying here.

Just the way a man will boast in the wisdom that he has, in the prized possessions he has acquired, or his accomplishments in the world, we as believers can boast in the fact that we understand and know the Lord!

You can literally walk tall and square your shoulders even under life’s difficult conditions knowing that God exercises loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness. You just know beyond every shadow of the doubt that you have a higher connection that surpasses everything and secures your future.

This is not because of anything in the physical that you have or are assured of. Your confidence is strictly based on the fact that you know the God that is with you. Remember that it is those that know their God that shall be strong and do exploits!

PRAYER: Sweet Father I thank you for opening my eyes to the realities of the word concerning me. I thank you for giving birth to me and making me yours. Every day, I walk tall and face my world like the champion you have made me because I know in whom I have believed. Thank you, Jesus.
